What is a bullet lock?

A bullet lock is a special (bullet-shaped) lock, designed for use with the most popular style of roller shutters. They are long locks with a thick pin and can be placed through a door frame or housing to prevent a door from opening.

How do bullet locks work?

The way bullet locks work is simple. They are implemented as an additional safety measure on top of their fellow roller shutter locks. The product is fitted into the guide rails of the shutter doors, acting as a compact addition to the system.

The bullet lock slides into the correct housing, welded onto the outer frame of the roller shutter. There is a sprung locking pin on top of the cylinder that is depressed with a turn of a key, allowing the bullet to be inserted or withdrawn, so you can secure or open the shutter.

Most bullet locks are keyed alike for easy use with multiple shutters. It saves you the hassle of carrying big bunches of keys around with you when you’re locking up or opening up.
