Replacing UPVC Window Locks

Households spend a fortune on a set of great-looking, noise-reducing, heat-retaining uPVC windows but over time simple wear and tear, or accidental damage, can take its toll on handles and window locks.

These small elements are the weakest point of the window unit, but they’re also the most important as these locks will ensure that your great-looking windows don’t become an easy point of entry for unwanted guests.

Fortunately, these uPVC window handles aren’t expensive to replace. Some people believe, in error, that their entire window fitting will need to be replaced. This isn’t true. They don’t even need to return to their original provider for a new lock because they can be purchased for affordable prices right here.

But once you have your hands on the right handle, how do you install it?

The answer: fairly simply. Handles can be removed when the window is closed and fixed. Once then new handle and lock are slid into place they need simply to screwed into place with replacement screws.

Espagnolette handles are amongst the most popular window handles in UK homes and many varieties are available right now from the Lock Shop Direct store; from the biggest brands around. Era have long been at the forefront for these uPVC products and Lock Shop Direct currently offer special offer prices.

Don’t spend a fortune replacing all of your perfectly good windows when all you need to do is one small item that you can install yourself. It’s just one of the ways that the Lock Shop Direct can help you protect your valuable and save money in the process.

Stay tuned to find out more.
