Multipoint (UPVC) Door Handles Measurement Guide
Knowing the correct way to measure a multipoint handle can be tricky but this guide is designed to make the process of buying/replacing multipoint door handles as easy as possible.
Just follow the few steps below to identify and measure you’re existing handles and you’ll be able to order your new part straight away.
Identify The Type
Firstly you will need to determine which type of handle you have. There are 3 main types as shown below:
- Lever/Lever – consists of two handles with moveable inline handles.
- Lever/Pad – 1 lever hand and 1 fixed or moveable pad. This type is available inline or offset.
- Handles with Snib – the snib is activated to hold the latch back on a lock. Available as lever/lever or lever/movable pad.Get Measuring

Next you need to take some measurements to ensure you are ordering the correct door handles. The diagrams below show the parts you need to measure:
Key:
A – Centres
B – Screw centres
C – Backplate – the size of the Backplate is length x width in mm
D – Top screw to centre of spindle
E – Bottom of the Euro cutout to the bottom screw
