Duffells Open Day Expo '12 - Event Review

On February 4th 2012 Duffells held their first Open Day at their premises in Croydon. The event only featured new and innovative products that were fresh to the market covering a wide range of industry fields. Demonstrations and informative literature were given out by the 20 exhibitors on the day equipping industry professionals with the tools and information they need to prepare for the future.
We felt so many positive developments have occurred at Duffells over the past few years that we wanted to show some of our most valued customers what Duffells could do for them and to share our plans for the future. We also wanted to organise an event that showed new and innovative product: a look into the future of the industry and to teach the visitor about the developments to their trade. It was an exercise to promote awareness to our most valued customers.
Visitors came to learn about the new products and meet the 20 plus exhibiting suppliers including ERA, Yale, Codelocks, GU, Storm, Kaba and Dorma (to name a few) and gain expert knowledge and demonstrations. Some came to meet their Duffells dedicated account manager. Some came to see our much anticipated trade only on-line ordering website www.duffells.com and a handful probably came to get some of the free hog roast!
The feedback we have had from exhibitors and visitors was fantastically positive and exceeded all of our expectations. Drawing over 400 people from all over the country with some even travelling from Ireland for our first ever Open Day was really remarkable. The atmosphere was jubilant and there was a fantastic spirit among all who attended.
Given the success of this open day we will certainly be exploring future events. As developments in the trade progress at such a rate we understand that, as a locksmith working most hours of the week, it can be difficult to keep up to date with new products and initiatives. We are also considering open days focusing on different sectors of the industry in an attempt to expose our customers to exciting new areas of the trade and to
showcase our huge range of products; including items that some may be unaware that we supply.
