ASEC Mila Copy Latch Only Gearbox

The ASEC Mila Copy Latch Only Gearbox has a 25mm or 35mm backset with 92mm centres. It is a single spindle latch only centre case with a 234mm case height and a 40mm or 50mm case width.

Designed to suit old style Mila latch only cases, it offers a cost-effective solution for repairing or refurbishing existing door systems without the need to replace the entire strip.

Please note the fixing points are unthreaded and require the use of self-tapping screws.

Some older locks are fitted with an offset or cranked connector. This only affects gearbox replacements and not full-length locks, but it is an important factor to check before fitting. Replacement gearboxes are now supplied with inline connectors only.

They remain compatible with older locks. However, the drive gear behind the faceplate will need adapting by modifying the square hole in the drive gear into a slot to ensure correct operation.


Handing
The latch can be reversed by removing the screw in the side of the case, removing the latch, flipping it to the opposite hand, and then refitting the screw.

Operation
Locking Method – A: Lift the lever to engage the locking mechanisms, then turn the cylinder one full turn to lock. To unlock, turn the key one full turn and push the lever down.

Notes
This unit is a copy of the original Mila centre case and is compatible with many UPVC door multipoint locking systems. Check all measurements carefully before installation to ensure correct fit.
