The FrameFit Perko Plug is a fire tested infill solution designed specifically for reinstating or concealing single action Perko door closer cut-outs in fire rated timber doors. It helps maintain the FD30 fire resistance integrity of these doors by filling the void left when a Perko closer is removed or needs to be replaced, ensuring that the door’s fire-performance isn’t compromised. The product has been tested to BS 476 Part 22 for reliability under fire conditions and suitability for compliant installations. This kit includes a hardwood dowel wrapped in a high expansion intumescent material that expands when exposed to heat to seal the opening, along with cover plates, intumescent pads, screws, and installation instructions; making it a practical choice for joiners, fire door maintenance teams, and retrofit projects where preserving fire safety ratings and adhering to regulations are priorities.
