The ASEC Push Pad Panic Latch is an emergency exit device designed for use on outward opening escape route doors, providing simple push pad operation to release the latch and allow quick and easy egress in an emergency. The unit complies with BS EN 179:2008 and is suitable for use on single doors and the first opening leaf of double rebated door applications. The device features reversible handing for installation flexibility and is supplied with a fixing pack suitable for timber and metal door sets. It is suitable for door leaves up to 2500mm high x 1300mm wide, with a maximum door weight of 200kg. Tested to Grade 7 durability for 200,000 cycles and Grade 3 corrosion resistance, the unit is designed to provide reliable operation in demanding commercial applications. This product is fire tested and must be installed per the manufacturer’s instructions, and with all relevant associated products. Fire rated for timber (FD60) and metal (FD120) fire doors.
