The ERA SureFire Latch & Deadbolt Single Spindle 2 Hook 2 Latchbolt has 35mm or 45mm backset, 92mm centres, 214mm case height, 53mm or 63mm case width, is single spindle and has a latch & deadbolt centre case. The Era Surefire range of multi point door locks is designed for easy and reliable locking, simply shutting the door engages a trigger and automatically fires all the locking points. The locking mechanism pulls the door in tightly to the frame, ensuring quick locking and reliable weathersealing. It is approved to PAS24 and BS EN1670 as well as Secured by Design (Police approved specification) and it comes with a 10 year manufacturer's guarantee. Accreditation These products comply to PAS24 and is Secured By Design accredited. Identification There is a rectangular plate with 2 rivets within the locking point hooks visible when extended, a snib to deadlock the latch beneath the gearbox latch and additional latches beneath each locking point. Gearbox The latch & deadbolt gearbox has a single spindle, a case height of 214mm and a case width of 53mm or 63mm. Additional Locking Points In addition to the locking points within the gearbox, the full length strip has 2 hook locking points. Faceplate 20mm wide radius faceplate, ideal for use on composite & timber applications and is 2100mm long. Handing The latch can be reversed by placing a screwdriver in the rear of the case directly behind the latch. Push the latch forward and rotate it to the opposite hand. Spung/Unsprung The gearbox is sprung and incorporates an internal spring mechanism to assist with lever return, removing the need for sprung handles or a separate spring cassette. Operation Locking Method - E. Unit automatically locks when the door is closed and unlocks with key / inside handle.
