The Briton 389.N is a surface mounted push pad emergency exit device designed to operate a mortice cylinder nightlatch. Intended for emergency escape routes used by personnel familiar with the building and its escape routes, it is suitable for single doors or, when used with compatible Briton hardware, the active leaf of non-rebated double doors. The unit incorporates a dual profile mortice nightlatch suitable for Euro or oval profile cylinders, with the cylinder available separately. An anti-thrust device helps prevent forced retraction of the latch, while the site reversible design allows the unit to be configured for left or right handed doors. The nightlatch can also be operated externally using a suitable cylinder or compatible outside access device. The Briton 389.N is certified to EN 179, CE and UKCA marked and Certifire approved. It is suitable for use on FD30 and FD60 fire doors, subject to the relevant doorset and installation requirements. As this product is fire tested, it must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and used with all relevant associated products where required.
