FERCO Lever Operated Latch Only - 2 Roller

The FERCO Lever Operated Latch Only - 2 Roller has a 35mm backset, 70mm centres, 198mm case height, 48mm case width, 7mm single spindle and a latch only centre case.

Although these locks are well made and have proven reliable over many years, they offer a relatively low level of security compared with modern locking solutions and are no longer commonly fitted to new doors. However, with thousands of these locks still installed throughout the UK, there remains a significant requirement for suitable replacement products.


Identification
It is unusual for locks to feature 70mm centres, a 7mm spindle and a latch only centre case, making this combination a useful way to identify the unit.

Gearbox
The latch only gearbox has a 7mm single spindle, a case height of 198mm and a case width of 48mm.

Additional Locking Points
In addition to the locking point within the gearbox, the full length strip features 2 roller locking points.

Faceplate
The unit has a 16mm wide faceplate, making it suitable for UPVC applications, with an overall length of 2200mm.

Locking Point Distances
Locking Point Distance A = 720mm
Locking Point Distance B = 679mm

Croppable
This full length unit is croppable, allowing the strip height to be reduced to suit the door it is being installed into.

Handing
The latch can be reversed by pushing in the latch hold cam located on the side of the lockcase, removing the latch, reversing it and returning it to the case. A click should be heard as the latch engages correctly.

Sprung/Unsprung
The gearbox is sprung and incorporates an internal spring mechanism to assist with lever return, removing the need for sprung handles or a separate spring cassette.

Operation
Locking Method - A. Lift the lever to engage the locking mechanisms, then turn the cylinder one full turn to lock. To unlock, turn the key one full turn and push down on the lever.
