The Fireco Dorgard DG2000 is a wireless acoustic fire door hold open device designed to allow fire doors to be safely retained in the open position during normal use. Supplied with a standard flat floorplate, the unit is fitted to the bottom of the door and provides a practical alternative to wedging fire doors open, helping to improve accessibility and ventilation throughout the building. Dorgard continuously listens for the building's fire alarm and is designed to respond to a continuous alarm signal of 65dBA or higher lasting for 14 seconds or more. When the alarm is detected, the retaining plunger releases, allowing the existing door closer to close the fire door and help restrict the spread of fire and smoke. The wireless, battery operated design requires no connection to the fire alarm system and can typically be installed using four screws in under five minutes. The Dorgard DG2000 is tested to EN 1155, CE and UKCA marked, and classified for Normal Category B installations under BS 7273-4:2015+A1:2021. It is suitable for use on FD30 and FD60 fire doors when correctly specified and installed. As this product is fire tested, it must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and used with all relevant associated products where required.
