FIRECO Freedor SmartSound Wireless Overhead Door Closer Size 3

The Fireco Freedor SmartSound is a wireless overhead free swing door closer designed to make fire doors easier to use while helping maintain fire safety compliance. The free swing function removes the resistance normally associated with a conventional door closer, allowing the door to move freely and remain open at a convenient position during normal use.

SmartSound listening technology continuously monitors for the building's fire alarm and, when the alarm is recognised, automatically releases the free swing function so the door can close and help restrict the spread of fire and smoke. The battery powered design requires no connection to the fire alarm system or mains wiring, helping to simplify installation and making the unit particularly suitable for care homes, offices, hotels and other environments where accessibility is important.

Freedor SmartSound is tested to EN 1155 and EN 1634 and is CE and UKCA marked. It is classified for Standard Category B installations under BS 7273-4:2015+A1:2021 and is Certifire approved under reference CF5968 for use on suitable timber based fire doorsets up to FD120, subject to the approved doorset construction and installation configuration. As this product is fire tested, it must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and used with all relevant associated products where required.
