HOYLES K1000 Key Box

The Hoyles Keyguard is a plastic emergency access key box designed to safely retain a key, access control card or proximity fob while keeping it visible and available when required. It provides a safer alternative to traditional break glass key boxes, using a clear non-hazardous plastic window to avoid broken glass, sharp edges and potential injury.

The recessed window allows quick removal in an emergency so the stored key or card can be retrieved with ease. Once removed, the window cannot be refitted, helping to make any use or tampering clear. This makes the Keyguard suitable for fire exit doors, restricted access areas, computer rooms, master key storage, schools, swimming pools and food preparation areas.

The range is available in three main versions. The K1000 standard Keyguard has no alarm or switch and is ideal for simple emergency key or card storage. The K1010 alarmed Keyguard includes an integral 90dB audible alarm powered by a PP3 alkaline battery, which sounds if the plastic window is removed. The K1020 switched Keyguard is fitted with a voltage-free single pole changeover microswitch for connection to the user’s own low voltage equipment or alarm system.
